Life Update!

The New Beginning is finally back on it's feet :)

And in other news, life still continues :D

• I quit evony at last, and my new addiction has been pokemon emerald on a VBA :p God help us all
• There were earthquakes! Christchurch- The city that rocks!!! We were struck by a 7.1 on the 4th September, and a terrible 6.3 on the 22nd of February. Thank gosh for us Cantab's resilience :)
• Latest book craze: Virals- Kathy Reichs, all about Temperance Brennan's (Bones) niece, who, with her friends, encounter a new strain of a disease, transforming their DNA forever in a race to save a cold case. O.o
• Latest movie craze: Burlesque- starring Christina Aguleria and Cher. Sooo good! About a country girl who's life is catapulted into craziness when she moves to LA and starts work at a failing burlesque lounge, where she desperately wants to perform onstage. 5 stars!
• TV series: Castle: a hilarious murder mystery show where Rick Castle, Writer, falls in love with and starts helping a murder detective with her cases. Very, very good!
• Youtube star: Katers17, aged 22, living in California with Cory Mr Safety (smpfilms) supplies great daily vlogs!

that's all I can think of for now, tune into The New Beginning, watch out for ninja squirrels and keep holding on!

Who knows. Who cares. Who ponders. Who Remembers. Who smiles. Who loves.

And so a spate of depression ends, and I make the decision to move on with my life. Keeping a blog will help, as I can clear my head.

To catch up with my life, I have recently joined a recruitment program for the RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force) and in doing so have given myself the determination to get and stay fit, to control my life, and to keep my mind active :)

I have to make a note to thank a friend of mine, Kareha, whose smiles I couldn't have done without, not that he knew

I have, after putting it off for years, started to read the Lord of the Rings. God save us all.

As drawing goes, I have improved, and yet I haven't. Who knows?

I am beginning to write again, and socialise with real people (zomg is that true? you're lying Serpy) No I'm not ;)

Oh. Coke died. A brain tumor under his right eye meant he needed to be put down, while I was still on holiday- I never got the chance to say goodbye. I love you, my beautiful rat, you'll always be that clumsy little baby. He is buried under a white paving stone under the maple tree in the garden.

Work goes well.

New Zealand Iceberg Invasion???

So little ol' me was minding my own business when I hear that New Zealand has issued Iceberg warnings as there are several hundred of the silly things floating down off the shore of Invercargill!
It will take a fair amount of power for them to get all the way up to the north island, but you have to wonder why on earth they are here-last I heard most of them were pretty comfortable down by Antarctica...

Creating Quotes

is amusing, and great for boredom *tried and tested*
I've already posted one, if life gave me lemons... but I just wanted to point out how creative it is!
one that popped into my head today was:
I'm a very agreeable person- You take my guy, I will very agreeably shoot you! :)
I have no idea when I started creating these, but there are years and years of silly little sentences tucked away in my thoughts that I should probably start to write down!
And, predictably, I can't think of any right now, so I'll try and write a new one down every day!

Wow has it been that long?

I should really get into the habit of keeping a journal or something....
anyway, just in case you are wondering how my lifes going (you probably arent, but heck, I can dream ;))
- Rava and I went to a book convention where I got a *signed* copy of a book that doesn't ome out in stores until September, and I was forced into getting my face painted (:\) and I got the chance to talk to writers such as Fleur Beale (Juno of Taris) and Brian Faulkner (Brain Jack, The Tomorrow Code) and an artist, who was soo cool :D

- I have been role-playing with Ravenna and our good friend Erydus from Malazan of Evony. Good fun :)

- I haven't been working much on Posiedon's Daughter, but the fore ground is done, now it's just getting that bakground filled in.... eep! maybe I'll see what GIMP can do to help it....

okay, so when looking out/ at the window on the bus ride home one cold day, I saw the shape os a head and wings in the condensation and decided to draw it ^-^
now I can't think of a name.... hmmm can anyone help me out?

I know it's really light/ hard to see
the lines are soft... and my scanner hates me *sigh*
but they are all there, if you tilt your monitor to some degree....

Small Talk.... hahaha.

so, a friend and I had a veeery interesting conversation the other day.
Her father had gone to get his car fixed at some 'Man and Sons' company, and to pass the time had wondered aloud why the 'Son' wasn't working there any more. The poor guy was informed that 'Man's' wife had left him after 35years of marriage, and taken Son overseas. Then the guys house had burned down, and because of a clerical error, the insurance left him broke.
...Whoops.
Another incidednt we had heard of was a hairdresser who picked up a consolations letter that had fallen out of her clients pocket. She asked who it was about, and the client told her his 11 year old daughter had died of Malignant Hyperthermia (Fatal High Temperature) when his idiot wife had given the girl a hot bath!
again... Whoops.
But small talk almost never turns out well, has anyone noticed?

I would march right up to life, and outline all the reasons why they were in fact, oranges.
